If you’re a young family in Royston you will be pleased to know that we now have our own local NCT activities going on, all open to both members and non-members and mostly free of charge. NCT charity aims to provide support to the many new mums, dads and babies in Royston. Information and support in pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Bumps and Babies on Fridays 10.30am-12 noon at the Old Bull Inn, Royston . Other activities in various locations - see Facebook page for details.

Small, friendly bridge club meets Mondays @ 7pm at the Johnson Hall, Stapleford, playing 21 boards Duplicate. Very social, tea break mandatory, results less important than good company.

Nutwood Network is a new community-based business networking group.  In partnership with the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), Nutwood Network will provide local tradespeople, business owners, community organisations and entrepreneurs an opportunity to meet in friendly and informal surroundings, to exchange ideas and referrals, and to become a part of a wider business network.

Nutwood Network is free to join, regardless of the size or function of your organisation, and all registered members are invited to a breakfast meeting at the Three 9 Eight Coffee Barn in the Woodman Inn, Nuthampstead at 8:30am on the first Friday of every month

Orwell Film Club meet 6 times a year on the 4th Thursday of Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept and Nov in Orwell Village Hall (SG8 5QN) at 7 for 7.30pm.

Membership is £3 per annum and entrance £5 per visit.

Phoenix was formed in 1978 by a group of 6 women who wanted to sing in four part unaccompanied harmony. We rehearse in Potton on Tuesday nights from 7.30-10.15pm. Visitors from the Royston area are encouraged to drop by!
