We run a very successful Saturday soccer development for 4-6 year olds and are a thriving and friendly club running league teams from under 7’s through to U18’s.

We meet on the last Sunday of every month at a pub in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire or Cambridgeshire.
We walk a circular route back to the same pub for a well-deserved Sunday lunch.

The group has weekends away during the year with longer stays in the summer.
We also meet on Christmas Day and New Years Day for group members who would like company.

We are a friendly group of French learners and native speakers who get together to speak French in a relaxed environment.
We meet on the last Wednesday of every month in a bar in the centre of Royston for a drink and chat. Every level of French is welcome (but no under 18s, sorry)!
We meet at 7:30pm, but feel free to turn up later if it suits you.
We will have a reserved table with a meetup sign so that we are easy to find (or just ask at the bar).

The club and members are involved in the building of model railway layouts in all the major scales for their own enjoyment and have exhibited their layouts at Model Railway Exhibitions in the South East & East Anglia.

Upper Cam Bird Ringing Group (UCRG)

We catch and ring birds on behalf of the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) and all data generated is submitted to their National Database to study aspects such as breeding success, winter survival rates, population changes etc.

We carry out the ringing sessions at 8 sites located in NE Hertfordshire, South Cambridgeshire and NW Essex (situated between Royston and Saffron Walden).

We meet at dawn on any day of the week when the weather is suitable (low winds and no rain) and run the sessions for 4 - 6 hours. We try to do 2 - 3 sessions per week as weather conditions allow.
