Fighting Fit: Gym Owner Goodbye
After near on 10 years working to better people’s lives through his gym services at Fighting Fit and CrossFit Royston, David “Aussie” Ayliffe is handing over the dumbbells to better people’s lives through a different medium.
Aussie is taking up a calling he has had since his time in the Australian Army to become an Emergency Medical Technician with East England Ambulance Services.
Operating from just one squash court and a handful of members back in 2014 when Fighting Fit was established, Aussie has since redeveloped the area into what is now a fitness and well-being facility.
Aussie said, “I am very proud and humbled to have been trusted with so many people’s fitness journeys over the years. Thanks to my wonderful coaches and on site heath and fitness therapists, we have created a culture where people can come to workout regardless of their fitness goals or experience whilst being supported the whole way. We are more than a gym, we are a Fitness Family.”
After 10 years Aussie has decided to pass the business on to a couple of gym and exercise professionals to take it to the next level.
Vix and Ben will be bringing youth and enthusiasm to the gym, making it their own whilst staying true to the values and culture the Gym is known for.
Whilst it will be sad to walk away, the decision is the right one for Aussie, his family and the fitness community.
“I’d like to sincerely thank every single person who has come through the door, my wonderful coaches and onsite therapist, and of course the support of the Snowdon family. All of whom helped me continue my mission of bettering people’s lives through Fitness and WellBeing.
I am super excited for the next chapter in which I will be adding value to people’s lives as an Emergency Medical Technician.”
